A few months ago I tried a NET out for the first time, I now go regularly to see Lindsey and I absolutely love her and her practice. I asked her a few questions because it has helped me so much and I wanted to share with you all what exactly NET is because I have never heard of it before and its totally changed my life.
At first I was a little skeptical and unsure, but immediately after my first session, I called one of my best friends and I was completely shocked and amazed with how I felt after and how Lindsey was able to stem certain things back from childhood trauma to how it made me react now to things, and how she was able to pin point emotions, ages, etc with muscle testing. I can’t say enough good things about Lindsey, I’ve been able to uncover and let go of deep emotional hurts that I didn’t realize I was still holding on to and even blocking out.
Now I’m going to pass the questions over to Lindsey to explain exactly what NET is..
What is NET?
Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a mind-body technique used to reduce stress in the body from any type of trauma. It uses a combination of manual muscle testing (pushing gently on the arm) and acupressure points located on the wrists and hands. Those meridian points correlate to different organs in the body where different emotions are held (ex: your liver can house the emotion of anger). From there you and the practitioner will communicate back and forth peeling layers of trauma away that were trapped in your subconscious brain. The technique is relatively quick and you can see results in as little as one session. NET can be used for a number of different issues ranging from physical, mental, or emotional pain. You can find more information about NET at http://www.toadalpositivty.com
How did you get into it?
A health and wellness chiropractor I was working for introduced me to NET several years ago. I had a very tragic experience happen in my own life and I used NET to help recover from the trauma. He recommended me for the NET Certification program because of my sports medicine degree and because I had such profound results in my own NET sessions.
What can you expect at your first session?
On the first session, we will discuss the NET process in detail. Then, we will go into your personal concerns or issues. Finally, we will go through the NET process to close out your session.
How often do you recommend going?
This is dependent on how many issues we are going to work on. Some people only need one or two sessions, while others need multiple sessions due to more traumas.
Is it like your typical therapy session?
NET is unlike a typical talk therapy session because it utilizes a physiological approach (physical) rather than a psychological approach (mental) to remove unresolved stress.
What is a resource you recommend, a book/ podcast maybe a mediation?
The One Research Foundation just launched an amazing documentary called “Stressed”. It is a research study about cancer patients who used NET in their treatment process.
I practice many aspects of the Law of Attraction, and I recommend reading “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.
I love Louise Hay and Wayne Dyer, so I recommend anything they have published as well!
