I recently went on a trip to San Diego, and wow did I fall in love! I absolutely loved it there, there was so much to do, and the weather is gorgeous! I thought I’d share the places I went to because I literally would wake up and just research for about an hour the best food places and places to go.
Soooo here is my San Diego Guide!!
Food is my love language literally I love to go to a good restaurant and enjoy a glass of wine with an amazing dinner, so naturally I have tons of food places to share with you guys!
FOOD
IN N OUT – Ok this is the ONE time a year I will eat a cheeseburger! I normally do not eat meat but there is something about an IN N OUT burger that I craveeee and a large fry with cheese sauce and why not add a milkshake! If you want to be healthier you can always add a lettuce bun, but usually I go all out if i’m going to make the stop! They’re food is to dieeee for so delicious!!!!!! Fun fact I’ve actually never have had a cheeseburger or any type of burger from Mcdonalds, Wendys or any type of fast food place but something about IN n OUT I can’t resist!
MORNING GLORY- This place is not only delicious, but so aesthetically pleasing! All the rose gold vibes and so gorgeous inside, instagram worthy for sure! They have the best brunch ever and the cutest drinks! This was by far one of my favorite spots, the vibe is just on point.
IRONSIDE– Another super chic place, I actually got this recommendation from The Skinny Confidential, she’s from San Diego and did a blog post on places to go in San Diego, when I was researching where to go I checked out her post and found a few gems! I took her recommendation I sat at the bar ordered a glass of rośe with a side of bread and butter. There bread is soooo fresh and to die for.
BORN AND RAISED– This restaurant is more of a higher class and somewhere you’ll probably want to have reservations for but I stopped in and sat at the bar and ordered a glass of rosé, definitely stop here for a drink if your not doing dinner here.
BUONA FORCHETTA– OMG this Italian place is so good! I think I had Italian food or Mexican every other night, and I would have had Italian every night if it was up to me! They have the best Gnocchi and eggplant ever and bread! This one is a must to stop at for dinner.
EL CAMINO– San Diego has so many Mexican restaurants its hard to choose one, but this was another recommendation I got from Lauryn at TSC, I feel like she just gets me and I trust her judgement! Go here its a super cool vibe and order enchiladas and a marg and some guac!
SBICCAS- I loved the area this restaurant is in, it has such pretty views and the food is amazing! I ordered a salmon salad with a side of sweet potato fries ( and a side of bbq) I always add bbq to my sweet pot fries, thank me later and I had mimosas & its dog friendly, which most places in San Diego are which is another reason I fell in love with SD.
CLAIRES ON CEDROS- THE BEST HOTCAKES EVER!!!!! Go here and order hotcakes, I got the multigrain ones, a side of potatoes and an order of biscuits because they have the best homemade jams, HOLY CARBS I know but 100% worth it.
GEORGES AT THE COVE- The best views ever!!!!!!!! You have the best view of La Jolla Cove, definitely get a drink and enjoy the views! I had shrimp tacos, which were perfect for a light lunch, they were so fresh!
PIATTI-OMG. They have this oil you use to dip your bread in and it is SO FREAKING Addicting, you will eat the whole basket of bread. They have a heated patio that is cozy and charming, once again ordered a glass of wine and enjoyed some ravioli half with a marinara sauce and the other half with this lemon butter sauce and mmm so good, I cleaned the plate.
THE BURGER LOUNGE- The best fries and they have a quinoa veggie burger option I got on a lettuce bun and it was sooooo good, my boyfriend got a burger and he raved about it! This night I was so worn out so we got it on postmates, which is the best if your in the mood to lay around in sweats and order food in and catch up on The Kardashians ( like I did)
HODADIES- Another really good burger place, I dont typically eat burgers ( only will for IN n Out) so I ordered a veggie burger, fries and onion rings! I will say I did like the burger lounges veggie burger better but my boyfriend said these burgers were to die for!
CRUSHED- SMORES PANCAKES… THAT IS ALL.. The best brunch and a flight of mimosas!!!
COFFEE/TEAS
I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but I love a good tea from a cute coffee shop!
HOLY MATCHA– HEAVEN! The cutest place ever, definitely insta-worthy! The matcha here is so good, they even have super yummy matcha donuts.
West Bean- I love the blood orange tea and they have a berry tea I believe that was super refreshing! I did get a coffee here, but im not a huge coffee person- it makes my stomach hurt! So id deff stick to the tea unless your a coffee person.
HOLSEM COFFEE- I loved this little coffee shop, I normally dont drink coffee BUT there NUTELLA iced coffeee with almond milk, OMG I was obsessed! They have a good menu to stop in for a quick bite and grab an iced coffee, they have such fun flavors.
FUN PLACES TO GO
La Jolla Cove- This was by far one of my favorite experiences, and a must do while in SD! The seals swim up to you, and the view is just so amazing, and the seals are just like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It truly is an amazing experience and you can walk along the beach or go swimming with the seals!
Sunset Cliffs- This is absolutely breathtaking, the view is so amazing and its so romantic and just a great place to go to!
Little Italy- We kept going back to Little Italy because there’s so many places to go in to have a drink and you can’t go wrong with any food place down there. It was definitely were we ended up the most!
San Diego Zoo- The zoo is huge and has so many cool animals, I went on the tour bus and may have been panicking a bit sitting on the top, I thought I was going to tip off! This zoo is huge and there is soooo much to see, definitely plan a good bit of your day here!
Balboa Park– This is amazing huge park area with tons of different things to see, its absolutely beautiful that is the only way for me to describe it!!!!!
Coronado Island– BREATHTAKING, seriously so stunning!!! Plan a day to go to the beach here! This was one of my favorite spots for sure!!!!
