Today, JULY 24 is National Self Care Day, which I find so important that I wanted to discuss it. I’m going to share some ways I practice self-care, since it’s been such a huge part of my daily routine the past eight months.
TOP 5 TIPS FOR SELF CARE
- A bubble bath with a nice glass of rose or hot tea- There is no better feeling before you go to sleep, then filling a nice bubble bath, with a candle lit, detox oil or essential oil, hair in a bun with a face mask on and a cup of hot tea ( I personally love arbonnes detox tea or green tea) or of course you can’t go wrong with a nice glass of rose. I do this probably at least 3 times a week and it really ends my day on a soothing note, I go to sleep feeling so refreshed and relaxed.
- Reading a good book- There is no better way to soothe the soul then a good book. Self help/motivational books are my favorite, I’m currently reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and Get over your damn self. I love to read two books to switch between, to keep the mind growing.
- Treating your self to something that makes you feel beautiful – Whether that be to an hour of getting your nails done, a pedi, a facial, your lashes, or a good blowout, whatever it may be doing, something that makes you feel good. Eyelashes are my thing I get done every 2-3 weeks and I will be doing a post all about my lashes soon. I love to get pedis, facials, nails as well, But lashes and a blowout are my must dos every week or every other.
- Working out- Working out always puts me in a better mood, no matter what. Of course I dread actually doing it sometimes, but there’s never been a time that I’ve regretted a workout. I always feel a million times better and I love to listen to podcasts or some music, right now I’m loving Drakes new album, especially ” in my feelings” KEKE DO YOU LOVE ME. Tammy Hembrows fitness app is my current go to workout routine, it’s so convent to just have an app to go to, that tells you what workouts to do.
- Alone time- Making sure you have ATLEAST 20 minutes to yourself a day is so crucial. Just to gather your thoughts, to really have connection with yourself and just make sure your checking in with yourself and thoughts. I love to have a gratitude journal, write goals and make sure I’m super organized with my to do list/schedule.
Please feel free to share some ways you practice self care as a part of your daily routine, so maybe someone else can check it out in the comments and try it out and I’m always looking for new ways to continuing getting self care in.
Hope everyone is taking time for themselves today, you deserve it
xx
